medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making diagnostic imprint from maxilla. Intermaxillary bone with vomer is fixed in required position to produce working imprint of the maxilla with guides closely adjacent to the intermaxillary bone with vomer. The first adjustment apparatus is manufactured from dental plastic material and fitted to the maxilla. Intermaxillary bone and vomer position is iteratively brought close to the vertical face symmetry axis by covering with additional layers of or filing off plastic material. After achieving the end result, the second working model is manufactured from gypsum. The gypsum model is adjusted with wax in the area of palatine surface of the intermaxillary bone and cleft margin from the vestibular side of the alveolar process. Apparatus surface shape adjustment is carried out by laminating plastic material on the vestibular side to achieve the right intermaxillary bone position relative to the mandible and lateral fragment of the maxilla. EFFECT: simplified technology; reduced risk of traumatic complications; improved esthetic effect. |
