A stabilized wheeled vehicle comprises a car body 1 having arcuate bearing surfaces 15 supported on rolls 13 pivotally mounted between arms 11 on a truck 4 so that the body 1 is rotatable about a longitudinal axis R relative to the truck 4, the body and truck being interconnected by an hydraulic piston 25 and cylinder 18, a pendulum being mounted within the body 1 and controlling via a valve the supply of pressure fluid to the cylinder 18, so that the body 1 is rotated about the axis R when the vehicle travels round a curve. The cylinder 18 has central projections 19 received in sliding blocks 20 fitting into vertical slots 21 in a bolt 23 which is secured to a plate 10 carried on a swivel joint 9 on the bolster 8 of the truck and to a plate 24. The body 1 is held to the truck 4 by bolts 38 and lugs 39 on the truck. The valve is connected by pipe lines to axial bores in the piston 25. The pendulum 30 is provided with adjustable hydraulic damping or braking devices.
