The invention concerns an apparatus for perforating the edge zone of a sheet or of stacked sheets, comprising a frame bearing means supporting and positioning (200) the sheet(s), and a set of vertical punches (41) oriented downwards, including a system actuating the punches comprising a pair of control levers (5) arranged along an upside down V-shape with an obtuse angle, deformable like compass legs, said levers (5) being linked in their top part to a vertically mobile common push member (3), while at their bottom end, they are articulated to the frame (C). The invention is characterised in that the set of punches (41) is integral with a horizontal support whereon said levers are supported, and the set of punches (41) forms with said horizontal support (40) one single common piece (4) whereof the global shape is similar to that of a comb, and the punches have different heights, so that when the push member (3) is displaced from above downwards, the V-shape opens and the set of punches (41) moves downwards, thus gradually perforating the sheet or sheets, the longest punches being the first to pass through the sheet or said sheets.
