PURPOSE: A power factor compensation device for motor driving inverter system is provided, in which a driving signal corresponding to a plurality of sine wave form voltage values stored in a memory is output upon detection of a zero crossing point of an utility alternating current power, and a switching transistor is switched according to the driving signal, thereby improving power factor. CONSTITUTION: A power factor compensation device comprises an inverter(120) connected to a motor(130); a zero crossing point detection unit(400) for detecting a zero crossing point of a utility alternating current power, and outputting a zero crossing point input according to the detection result; a PAM driving unit(500) for internally storing a plurality of sine wave form voltage values corresponding to the voltage of the alternating current power and frequencies, and which sequentially outputs a driving signal corresponding to the plurality of sine wave form voltage values upon input of the zero crossing point; and a switching transistor(N1) connected in parallel to the inverter, and switched according to the driving signal.
