PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing method and an information reproducing device for reproducing an optical disk which is little in decreasing of data recording regions in spite of an increase in the number of DRAW times and recorded with a recording format consisting of writing data areas and partition areas in such a manner that a recording end position may be easily decided. SOLUTION: Partition data is read out from the partition area of one chapter (S24) and whether the read out partition data indicates the recording end position or not is decided (S25). When the read out partition data does not indicate the recording end position, the partition data is read out from the partition area of the next chapter until read out partition data indicates the recording end position and the operation to decide whether the read out partition data indicates the recording end position or not is repetitively carried out and thereafter the recording data corresponding to an inputted command is read out (S26 and S27).
