PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which reduces complication on the setting of zoom magnification when it is used by combining it with a film adapter device and improves operability. SOLUTION: A digital camera which has a zoom lens system 1 and which can realize dupe mode photographing is provided with a dupe-on switch 13c and an off switch 13d. A mode setting part 12-1 installed in a system controller 12 in the camera switches a system to a dupe mode by the operation of the dupe-on switch. A lens system driving mechanism 2 is driven and a focus is adjusted to a prescribed distance by adjusting it to a film face when a copier is fitted to the camera. A zoom is adjusted to dupe magnification Z by a control signal from a magnification control part 12-2 based on a setting signal from the mode setting part.
