BURST SIGNAL AMPLIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burst signal amplifier that controls its gain for a burst signal pause period so as to prevent an output power from exceeding a limit level at the head of a burst signal just after the burst signal pause period. SOLUTION: The burst signal amplifier for a communication system, to which signals are intermittently transmitted, is provided with an output detection means 4 that detects an output power of the burst signal amplifier and a variable time constant circuit 5 that can hold this output level and variably control a time constant. Controlling the time constant of the variable time constant circuit 5 to become longer can keep an output level constant for the burst signal pause period.
