POLARIZED WAVE SHARED ANTENNA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized wave shared antenna system which has the wide band characteristics of a voltage standing-wave ratio and by which horizontal surface directivity characteristics of <=60 deg. are obtained. SOLUTION: The antenna system 11 comprises four balanced/unbalanced converters 14a to 14d formed on a dielectric substrate 16 erected nearly in the vertical direction and connected with power feeding lines 15a and 15b, four pairs of balanced two-wire lines 18a to 18d respectively connected to the balanced/unbalanced converters and erected nearly vertically to the substrate 16, and four fold-back dipole elements 12a to 12d connected to the tips of the respective balanced two-wire lines and arranged in the same plane parallel to the substrate 16 to be individually tilted by about 45 deg. with respect to the horizontal surface and to form a diamond in the shape of a square with each other. The system 11 is arranged to be adjacent to the front side of a metallic reflection board 13.
