The crockery delivery, reception and cleaning method has adjacent positions (14,16) used for extraction of clean crockery and return of used crockery, with recyling of the returned crockery via a washing station (20,24). The crockery is delivered after verification of an authorisation pass or token, or in exchange for payment, with a deposit recorded and erased upon the delivered crockery item being returned.
