The measuring system has a remote-controlled measuring device, provided with at least one measuring probe for detecting the radiation field and an associated position measuring device, e.g. a geodatic device, or a position reception antenna for determining the position of the remote-controlled measuring device using a global non-terrestrial positioning system. An Independent claim for a radiation field characterization method is also included.
