PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk which has such a useful function as to detect and display a disk capacity in a short period of time, does not degrade the responsiveness associated with recorded position information, is previously constituted with recording pits by embossing having the power to prevent illicit use of a region including the key information of the region and has no possibility of being decided as a ROM disk because of the absence of wobbles when this optical disk is reproduced with a DVD reproducing device. SOLUTION: This optical disk has a main information region where main data is recorded in a track having wobbles and a control data and sub- information region on the inner peripheral side of the main information region and is varied in signal forming methods of the control data region and the sub-information region. The optical disk which is formed with the pits of the control data region by embossing is also included and the pits of the sub- information region are formed by a laser beam.
