<p>The invention discloses a documentation appliance system (100), which is a dedicated documentation server for automatic documentation generation (138) and management of documentation for configurable systems (170) such as complex software applications and hardware systems. The documentation appliance (100) is coupled to the configurable system (170) via a communication network, preferably an Intranet. The invention shows a method for automatic generation of documentation for configurable systems (170), as well as how to practice the invention by integrating code for automatic documentation generation within the configurable system program.</p> |
