<p>A part mounter and a mounting method in which a plurality film electronic parts even having different dimensions can be mounted with high accuracy on a glass substrate. When a small film electronic part having small widthwise dimensions is transferred by a chuck mechanism (10), a vertical drive cam (17) is moved to a retracting position by pulling back a cylinder (16) provided on a supporting plate (11). Consequently, a movable chuck block (13) is pushed upward by means of a biasing spring (15), and the film electronic parts (32a, 32b) are chucked only by means of a fixed chuck block (12). When a large film electronic part having large widthwise dimensions is transferred by the chuck mechanism (10), the vertical drive cam (17) is moved to a projecting position by pulling out the cylinder (16) provided on the supporting plate (11). Consequently, the movable chuck block (13) is pushed downward through the action of the vertical drive cam (17) and a roll (19), and the film electronic parts (32a, 32b) are chucked by means of both the fixed chuck block (12) and the movable chuck block (13).</p> |
