The riders enter a watertight carriage (11) on the lower horizontal stretch of track (3). The carriage is carried into the lock section (7) at the bottom of the tank (6). The sluices (9, 10) flood the lock and the carriage passes into the vertical part (8) of the tank. The buoyancy forces the carriage upwards to emerge above the surface (V). It continues, inverted, gathering speed along the sloped track (23) until it plunges through the second tank (26) and lock and back to the start.
