PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of the deviation between the central position of guide grooves and the central positions of intermediate addresses within a zone of the conventional optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is manufactured by utilizing the substrate for the optical recording medium which has plural recording tracks 4 formed in at least the guide grooves 1 on the disk and address parts 3 consisting of address pit strings 3a and 3b disposed between the recording tracks of the guide grooves 1 along the reading direction of information of the recording tracks 4. The recording tracks of the guide groove 1 are segmented by each of the prescribed zones (N, N+1) and are so arranged that the centers 3c of the address parts 3 corresponding to the recording tracks of the guide grooves 1 on at least the outermost periphery or innermost periphery of the respective zones are relatively shifted d1 in the radial direction of the disk with respect to the centers 1c of the recording tracks of the guide grooves 1.
