<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a scale becomes large and cost increase before since cells outputted from a crossbar type switch are temporarily stored in a buffer arranged in an output line part if there is an output line which is slower than an input line speed rate. SOLUTION: In response to a connection request signal from an input line buffer, an arbiter 107 sends connection acknowledgement signals 112-1 to 112-M to an input line buffer, supplies an on/off signal for an intersection switch to the crossbar type switch 110, and sends out a connection acknowledgement signal to the input line buffer sending cells out to an output line slower than the input line speed rate at specific intervals longer than a normal line. Consequently, the timing intervals of the transmission of cells from the input line to the crossbar type switch 110 are made wider than normal timing intervals to eliminate the need for the buffer in the output line part.</p> |
