PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge for a loudspeaker diaphragm where punch margin denoting a waste material part is small in the punching of the edge in a torus shape, the product yield is high, the cost is reduced, no environmental problem is caused in the treating of the waste part for an industrial waste, uneven quality in the performance of the edge is small, production of distorted sound based on partial resonance is eliminated so as to eliminated dispersion in the fundamental frequency (f0), the compliance of vibration of the diaphragm can easily be revised or corrected, the stiffness of the edge 6 in the circumferential direction is partially and consciously changed to suppress the resonance of the diaphragm, or the resonance of the diaphragm is conversely emphasized to change the frequency characteristic of the speaker. SOLUTION: A weatherproof resin is coated inside a woven cloth being a basic cloth by a screen print means to impregnate the resin inside the fibers of the woven cloth so as to form a 1st layer, other damping resin of a different material is laminated on the 1st layer by a similar means as a 2nd layer, and a synthetic resin with other property is laminated on the 2nd layer by a similar means, and the 1st layer or the 2nd layer is layered by partially changing the thickness in a concentric pattern on the surface and in a spotted way in the circumferential direction.
