PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update recognizing data by simple constitution and method. SOLUTION: A prescribed paper 20 is loaded to the paper feeding part 10a of a printer 10. The printer incorporates a recognizing device for detecting prescribed picture data and a function for suppressing normal picture output when the recognizing device detects the picture data. The recognizing device performs recognizing processing based on recognizing data stored in advance. On the other hand, prescribed dictionary information 21 is stored in the paper in advance and the paper 20 is made to pass through the inside of the printer by a paper feeder or another method, thereby the printer 10 reads the information 21. Then, in accordance with the read information 21, the updating processing of the recognizing data stored in the printer is performed. Thus, the dictionary can be updated by simple processing such as putting the paper through the printer. |
