PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun for a CRT and a color CRT equipped with the same that can prevent the first grid electrode from warping by stress of loading, thermal contraction, etc., when beading bead glass and suppress variation of brightness at early time of cathode operation, and a manufacturing method for this electron gun. SOLUTION: This electron gun is for a CRT formed by unitizing a cathode structure having an insulation disk 3 and the first grid electrode holder 5 fixed to the said insulation disk 3, and a plurality of grid electrodes 2, 11 to 15 through beading of bead glass 6 with respect to bead-glass planted part 21 provided on each component. This CRT is composed of the bead-glass planted part 21 of the cathode structure separate from the above-mentioned first grid electrode holder 5, and is equipped with the electron gun having the said bead- glass planted part 21 at the side of above-mentioned insulation disk 3.
