PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual server emulator which enables the extension of the different kinds of servers in a short time, and enables setting the quality or precision of the operation managing work of those servers within a fixed range. SOLUTION: This virtual server emulator is provided with one or more kinds of virtual servers 3A-3N having a hardware function and a software function equivalent to a general server and for emulating a computer operation on a main memory, a virtual server controlling part 2 for controlling one or more kinds of virtual servers 3A-3N, a console interface part 6 for interfacing the virtual server control part 2 and a virtual server console 7, a hard emulator part 4 for processing an input and output request from an application program to be executed by one or more kinds of virtual servers 3A-3N, a communication emulator part 8 for operating data communication with a network 11, a definition information file 10 for holding the definition information of one or more kinds of virtual servers 3A-3N, and a logging file 9 for holding the operating situation of each part as successive management information.
