PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a liquid crystal module for holding so as to allow the liquid crystal module to be operated well, without being influenced by light from the back light source, and to provide a picture display device with the liquid crystal panel using this. SOLUTION: A light shielding guard 3b for shielding so that an IC 1b mounted on a flexible substrate 1 may not be exposed to external light, when the flexible substrate 1 of a liquid crystal module is bent, is provided on the rear surface of the holder 3 for mounting the display part of he picture display device with the liquid crystal module. Even when using a IC 1b of higher performance, malfunction due to external light is suppressed and a high-definition image display by the liquid crystal pane 2 is obtained.
