PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze organic matter constituting elements (elements constituting organic matter) contained in underwater suspended matter and inorganic elements. SOLUTION: By passing a predetermined amount of water through each of a porous film made of an inorganic material and a porous film made of an organic material, underwater suspended matter is collected in both porous films. Then organic matter constituting elements contained in the suspended matter collected in the porous film made of an inorganic material and inorganic elements contained in the suspended matter collected in the porous film made of an organic material are each determined.
