PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DVD system that can enhance interactive performance, without having to revise the hardware of the DVD system. SOLUTION: A general parameter register (6c) sequentially stores input data by a user to sequentially select, e.g. each of multi-screen images (12) at prescribed time intervals, the selected video image is sequentially transferred from the general parameter register to a specific system parameter register (6b), in response to a reproduction instruction to sequentially reproduce the video image corresponding to the selected video image of the multi-screen images and to display the image on a TV monitor. Thus, the interactive performance of a user in the DVD system is enhanced. Furthermore, storing a plurality of sets of user selection information to one general parameter can furthermore enhance the interactive performance, while complying with the present DVD- Video standards.
