PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reproduction speed by utilizing the reproduction buffer even when the access is executed to the discontinued area. SOLUTION: This controller is provided with an extracting part 210 of batch reproducing area for extracting data of the batch reproducing area list to which the instruction for plural discontinued reproduction areas objective for the batch reproduction is defined from the command for requesting the batch reproduction, a data storage part 212 of the batch reproducing area list for temporarily storing the batch reproducing list data extracted by this batch reproduction area extracting part 210, and a control part 216 of batch reproducing processing for controlling the batch reproduction processing, by which respective data are read out from the plural reproduction area in a recording medium 400 based on the data of batch reproducing area list stored in the data storage part 212 of this batch reproducing area list and also these read out data are stored in a reproduction buffer part 203.
