PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical inter-connectorless SOFC of uniform temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction of a cell. SOLUTION: This battery is provided with a cylindrical air electrode, a solid electrolyte formed on the inside surface of the air electrode, a fuel electrode formed on the inside surface of the solid electrolyte, a conductive tube inserted into the fuel electrode and supplying fuel gas, a conductive material electrically connecting the conductive tube and the fuel electrode. A catalyst for reformation reaction producing hydrogen from fuel gas is provided inside the conductive tube. As part of fuel gas is reformed in advance in the tube, temperature drop caused by heat absorption of local reformation reaction around a fuel gas blow out area of the tip of the conductive tube, therefore is prevented. |
