PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document editing device which can perform an entire layout of a document while performing the partial automatic production of a character box. SOLUTION: A production reference object/partial production direction/ connection designation character box designating part 18 designates a reference object, a character box production direction and a connection state when a character box is produced. A character box production part 17 partly produces a character box at a part excluding a part where a designated object exists to the character box production direction set on the basis of the object and according to the layout information on the object. Thus, it is possible to perform an entire layout of a document while the character box is automatically and partly produced on the basis of an optional object that is selected among the objects included in the document. |
