PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically restoring failure and a display system for executing the detection of failure and the restoration of an operation regardless of the kind of a display controller, and for reducing development costs and management costs by solving the problem that it is necessary to provide a failure restoration program according to the processing capability of a display controller in a conventional display system. SOLUTION: In this method for automatically restoring failure and a display system equipped with a display controller for operating the operation and an automatic restoring device, a display controller 4 transmits a failure judgment time to an automatic restoring device 5 at the time of rising, and when the display controller 4 is normally operated, the display controller 4 periodically transmits a specific signal to the automatic restoring device 5. Then, the automatic restoring device 5 stores the transmitted failure judgment signal, and when any specific signal is not received across the failure judgment time, the automatic restoring device 5 judges that the display controller 4 is turned into a defective state, and turns off/on the supply of a power to the display controller 4 for restarting the display controller 4. |
