PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a time capable of speaking by suppressing power consumption without damaging convenience concerning a portable telephone set which has a function except for a speaking function, to be powered by a battery. SOLUTION: In a portable telephone set 1, which has the function except for speaking, to be powered by the battery provided in a power source part 22, a function to be limited at the time of battery decrease is selected out of respective functions provided with the portable telephone set 1 by operating an input part 14 beforehand and the remaining power of the battery corresponding to the selected function is stored in a storage part 13. When using the portable telephone set 1, the remaining power of the battery is detected by a CPU 11 and corresponding to the detected remaining power of the battery, the execution of the function stored in the storage part 13 is limited. |
