A method and apparatus for delivering liquid catalyst to a combustion device is disclosed as comprising a combination of aspects, including adding liquid catalyst to a combustion air intake duct (1) or to a combustion exhaust duct (3), either as vapor (35) or as a fog, disposing the liquid catalyst in the fuel or in a lubricating oil, and adding catalyst to fuel either before, during or after any refining process therefor. Depending upon the particular combustion process to be used with the invention, a combination of one or more of the disclosed aspects allows sufficient liquid catalyst to be supplied to the combustion region and to the combustion exhaust gases to significantly enhance combustion efficiency and/or reduce undesirable combustion product emissions, without adding excessive complexity to the combustion device.
