<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a system or application more improved in performance such as improvement in picture quality or sound quality by increasing the transmission capacity of data by lowering the sending frequency of a control information TS packet and transmitting a video TS packet, audio TS packet and private TS packet in place of the control information TS packet. SOLUTION: The multiplexing frequency, namely, so-called sending frequency of control information to be periodically multiplexed into a time division multiplexed and packetized transport stream is lowered into prescribed cycle and at the time point when this control information is changed, only relevant changed contents are encoded. Then, this encoded information is added to a private data region inside an adaptation field, which is the header information of the TS packet with video compressed data as a payload. Thus, the transmission capacity of the video compressed data, audio compressed data and private data can be increased.</p> |
