PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a contact of high reliability in shortening/open inspection, lighting inspection and TCP packaging stages of a display device. SOLUTION: The insulating layers between terminal parts of the display device having electrode groups formed on an insulative substrate, the insulating layers formed on these electrode groups and the terminal parts electrically connectable to the outside of the insulative substrate formed at the respective electrode ends of the electrode groups are removed, by which the height of the insulating layers between the terminal parts is reduced to the height of the electrodes adjacent to each other or below.
