PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily designating the position of a picture synthesized on a moving picture and synthesizing the arbitrary picture of natural movement on the moving picture. SOLUTION: The moving picture of an object with which the picture is synthesized is selected (301) and it is displayed and reproduced (302). The reproduction of the moving picture in the position with which the picture is synthesized is temporarily stopped and the picture is plotted by overlapping it with the moving picture (303). When the picture is decided, the reproduction of the moving picture is resumed with slow mode and a track where the picture moves on the moving picture by a pointing device by adjusting it to the reproduction of the moving picture is designated (304). The picture is synthesized by sequentially overlapping the picture with the pertinent position of the moving picture during reproduction based on designated track data (305).
