PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a simple contact assembling jig, in which locator parts are unnecessary and the location precision can be improved in a block widthwise direction of each contact. SOLUTION: An insulator 31 of the connector has an open bottom structure to assemble at a time while arranging and positioning plural rows of contact pairs. In an open bottom structure of both ends, notches 33-1 are respectively formed in both ends of a side wall 33 along array pitch direction. Inner surfaces of notches 33-1 of both ends and opposing side wall 22 act each other as the acceptance concave parts which receive a contact assembling jig 71. When plural rows of contact pairs are received in acceptance concave parts of insulators 31-1 and when the contact assembling jig 71 is assembled, a crank arm 18 and a terminal part 19 of the contact 13 respectively contact with the side wall inner surface and a stopper wall. |
