<p>The lock comprises a support (10) with a cylinder (14), a housing (40) with at least one cam (24) provided with hooks (26) for locking the cover of the chest in a closed position by rotating the end part (19) of the cylinder and elastic means (32) tending to maintain at least one hooked cam in a lock position for said cover. According to the invention, the lock also comprises means (50, 56, 60) for blocking at least one cam (24), which is provided with hooks (26), in the open position, thereby preventing the cover from locking in an untimely manner. The invention is particularly suitable for use with locks which are designed to lock chests used to transport luggage, especially skis, on the roofs of vehicles.</p> |
