PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electroluminescent element with a good yield. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a process of forming at least the first electrode layer 8 on a supporting substrate 7; and a process of forming a transcription layer 6, which is composed of electroluminescent layers 5 and/or the material composing the second electrode layer 4, on a transcription substrate 1; and a process of press adhesion of the forming surface of the first electrode layer 8 of the supporting substrate 7 with the forming surface of the transcription layer 6 on the transcription substrate 1, using a press adhesion roller 10; and a process of transcripting the transcription layer 6 formed on the transcription substrate 1 to the side of forming surface of the first electrode layer 8 on the supporting substrate 7.
