The suction appliance consists of a screw (1) driven by electric motor (2) to rotate along the longitudinal axis of a piston (15) and sucking air into the piston. The screw may be cylindrical with deep pitch, a spirally coiled bar or spiral-twisted band. The air is conveyed through the piston and is pumped into the tobacco smoke collector-housing (10) which has at least one air-outlet (31) with air-cleaning filter (30). The screw's outer thread has a wiper-spiral(28) touching the piston's inner wall.
