PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermopile type infrared sensor which eliminates the anisotropy of sensitivity in its infrared-ray incidence direction and also eliminates the dependency of the sensor output on the incidence direction and position of incidence. SOLUTION: The thermopile type infrared sensor has temperature contacts 3 of a thermocouple arranged on a circumference.
