PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of manufacturing a plasma display panel in which outgassing is completed at a shorter time, a residual gas is less and a gas discharge tube is not used. SOLUTION: This apparatus of manufacturing a panel comprises an attachment chamber 1 for attaching a front face substrate and a rear face by heating a low temperature melting glass to form a panel, an introduction.sealing chamber 2 for introducing discharge gas into the panel through a inlet formed at the front face and the rear face and sealing the inlet. Inside of the sealing chamber 2, there are provided the first mechanism 5 for supplying a lid member 9 made from a metal plate coated with a low temperature melting glass to a predetermined position P in the introduction.sealing chamber 2, the second mechanism 4 for moving the lid member to a heating apparatus 8 from the position P, the third mechanism 31 for evacuating the inside of the panel and then for introducing discharge gas into the panel, and the fourth mechanism 41 for sealing the inlet by heating the metal plate 9 coated with a low temperature melting glass using the heating apparatus 8. |
