PATH NETWORK OPERATING METHOD, PATH NETWORK, AND NODE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path network, a path network operating method, and a node device which are sufficiently adaptive to abrupt variation in traffic by actualizing an increase in path bandwidth at a high speed. SOLUTION: The path network which allows a communication between nodes by using more than one active path and more than one standby path is placed in operation by transmitting a path signal from a transmission node to a reception node through the active and standby paths and temporarily diverting a standby path to an active path to increase the bandwidth of the active paths when a request to increase the bandwidth is made in the path network. For automatic path diversion the transmission node and reception node divert the standby path to the active path by using automatic path diversion information included in a path overhead.
