PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of polymerized toner by which polymerized toner particles can be efficiently filtered from a medium. SOLUTION: A polymerizable monomer composition containing at least polymerizable monomer and a colorant is polymerized in the medium to generate colored resin particles, the colored resin particles are filtered from the medium and then are dried to manufacture polymerized toner. The method for manufacturing the polymerized toner is distinguished by that filtration of the colored resin particles from the medium is executed by a decanter type centrifuge having an outside rotary cylinder and a screw conveyor provided in the outside rotary cylinder with free relative rotation.
