PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a small-sized and lightweight motor drive apparatus by lessening the capacity of an inverter device. SOLUTION: In this motor drive apparatus, two sets of windings A and B are juxtaposed in the slots of each phase of U, V, and W of the stator of an AC motor 3. An inverter 2, which converts DC power into AC power, is provided with the bridge circuits 2A and 2B of two sets of switching elements, and each of the AC output of each phase of two sets of bridge circuits is connected to each of two sets of windings of each phase, and the control circuit to the inverter 2 opens and closes the switching element of corresponding each phase o the two sets of bridge circuits, with timing to suppress generation of ripple components between both. Hereby, this motor drive apparatus suppresses a ripple current from flowing into the DC bus of the inverter 2. |
