PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for electrolytic capacitors which is capable of improving characteristics such as life and withstanding voltage of the electrolytic capacitors, without increasing the specific resistance of the electrolyte. SOLUTION: The electrolyte for electrolytic capacitor dissolves therein a copolymer expressed by formula 1 where n is natural number and R is hydrogen or alkyl group.
