OPTICAL FILM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a film with good productivity having good angle-of-view characteristics with little residual solvents by a production method of an optical film using the solution casting method. SOLUTION: An optical film is obtained by heating on a substrate a thermoplastic resin solution cast on the substrate to make the film with self bearing properties, and by peeling the film the substrate after that. The maximum temperature of heating on the substrate is set higher than the glass transition point of the resin composition which composes the optical film.
