PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively recognize an object in a practical time, with practical accuracy and in a practical object range. SOLUTION: In a neuron combination (neural circuit) having the neural transmission dynamics that is shown in the Hodgkin-Huxley equation, an object is recognized by using a property where a transmission line is selected according to the intensity of stimulus potential, i.e., the input information to a learning function. The conductivity of the transmission line that is selected according to the intensity of stimulus potential is strengthened for acquiring a function that responses intensively to a specific input by learning. A significant transmission line is kept by using a property where the active potentials propagate on a transmission line in directions opposite to each other and run together to be extinguished, for example. Otherwise, the characteristic of a transmission line is emphasized by having one or more combination areas (synapses) having the characteristics to transmit the signals only in a single direction on the transmission line and accordingly using the repetitive propagations of active potentials.
