<p>The invention provides a data output control device and a personal digital assistant, which are adapted to easily obtain detailed information over a network. A data output control terminal (300) is connected through the Internet (400) in communication with personal digital assistants (100) owned by users, printing devices (PR1-PRn) distributed spatially, and WWW servers (DS1-DSm). Upon receiving a printout request from a personal digital assistant (100), the data output control terminal retrieves the data associated with the printout request through a WWW server (DS), selects a printing device (PR) most convenient for the user of the personal digital assistant (100) from a plurality of printing devices (PR), and sends the retrieved data to the selected printing device (PR). Based on the position data of the printing device in a storage device (62), the data output control terminal supplies the personal digital assistant (100) with guidance data that shows the way to the place of the printing device (PR).</p> |
