PORTABLE TELEPHONE AND PORTABLE TELEPHONE SYSTEM

A portable telephone system (100) comprising a center (110), a telecommunications network (120) and portable telephones (1). The center (110) stores musical data and distributes musical data to portable telephones(1). A portable telephone (1) has a karaoke (sing-along) singing ability grading function and sends user grading data to the center (110). The center (110) stores received grading data and processes the data such as by totaling and ranking, and, as requested by a portable telephone or periodically, offers processed data. A portable telephone system is constituted by such portable telephones each having a karaoke function and grading function, sending grading results to the control center for totaling, and viewing the totaling results.
