PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of displaying quickly a list information on image files or the like stored in a detachable storage medium. SOLUTION: In the image processor equipped with an external image storage device 95 for reading image data and management information for managing the image data from a detachable storage medium, a main controller 70 reads only partial management information including at least list information on image data into a RAM in the main controller 70 from among a plurality of kinds of management information stored in the storage medium at the time of powering up or mounting the storage medium by using the external image storage device 95. When the storage medium is mounted, the main controller 70 performs detection whether or not a prescribed processing is under execution. When it detects the prescribed processing is under execution, the prescribed processing and readout of management information are processed in parallel. |
