VALVE SEAT ADAPTOR FOR ADJUSTMENT OF STROKE OF EMERGENCY SHUTOFF VALVE IN GAS METER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve seat adaptor by which the stroke length of an emergency shutoff valve can be set optimally only by being mounted on a gas meter when a bidirectional shutoff valve having a short stroke length is adopted as the emergenecy shutoff valve instead of a unidirectional shutoff valve and which can reduce a pressure loss. SOLUTION: The adaptor 50 in accordance with this invention is mounted on the gas meter 1 in which a valve seat 63 is installed at an emergency shutoff port 3 formed on a gas flow passage inside the gas meter and in which a valve body 62 capable of being advanced and retreated freely with reference to the valve seat 63 is arranged. The adaptor is provided with a ring-shaped adaptor body 52 which is arranged in the whole circumference of a face opposite to the valve body 62 in the valve seat 63. The adaptor is provided with a hook 53 which is used to attach the adaptor body 52 to the valve seat 63. The adaptor is constituted in such a way that, when the valve body 62 is brought into contact with, or separated from, the adaptor body 52, the emergency shutoff port 3 can the opened or closed.
