TRANSMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ELECTRONIC MAIL, MAIL TERMINAL, MAIL SERVER AND ELECTRONIC MAIL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transfer/return the mail of a large volume in mobile equipment such as a portable telephone with a limited memory capacity. SOLUTION: The identifier of the mail is acquired by a mail reception protocol like POP3 or IMAP4 from a mail server 150 by the mobile equipment 100. In the mobile equipment 100, when transferring the mail, only the identifier of the mail to be transferred is notified from the mobile equipment 100 to the mail server 150. The mail to be transferred is specified by adding a command for performing specification to SMTP. Also, the mail server 150 reads the specified mail and transmits it to a destination specified by the SMTP.
