摘要 <p>A tunable laser system based on sum frequency mixing of at least two near-infrared solid-state lasers is provided. One of the two solid state lasers is a tunable Yb:silica fiber laser (101). Preferably the Yb:silica laser (101) utilizes a temperature tuned fiber Bragg grating to achieve the desired wavelength and bandwidth. The second solid-state laser is preferably an Nd:YAG laser (105). The sum frequency mixing of the outputs of the two solid-state lasers is performed by a non-linear crystal, preferably either a LiNbO3 or periodically poled lithium niobate crystal. The output of the non-linear crystal can be used in a waveform generator system.</p>
